Family Tree Crèche was established in 2005 by LEDP to provide opportunities for parents on the Southside of the City to gain employment. Fully refurbished in 2024, the Crèche caters for children from 6 months to 5 years on a full-time basis.

The comprehensive refurbishment works, which were fully funded by LEDP, consists of the installation of a new staff room, upgraded bathroom facilities for children and staff, additional play equipment, resurfaced floors, led lighting, decorated rooms, and roof works. The refurbished Crèche now features modern, child-friendly interiors designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The refurbishment is not just about new facilities but also about delivering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. It incorporates modern design, advanced safety measures, innovative educational tools, and sustainable practices to create an ideal setting for early childhood development.

The Crèche provides all hot meals and snacks from its own kitchen complying with all food hygiene standards. The custom designed crèche is over 4,000sq ft. in size dedicated to providing differing play areas meeting the requirements of all stages of childhood development. Family Tree Crèche has a dedicated team of 16 who have many years of experience in managing and working with children. The Crèche meets and exceeds all current childcare regulations and is compliant with all SIOLTA and AISTEAR guidelines. It operates NCS and ECCE schemes.
